what year is my klr 650?

Post by Retread » Thu Sep 27, 2012 8:38 pm

Well folks, So I followed up on Fred and Walt's suggestions to check the VIN. It didn't occur to me that it contained coded information. The Kawasaki website has a VIN decoder - I used that and checked the 10th digit. Both indicate Kawasaki sold my KLR as a 2007 model. Thanks guys for your help. Don

It's got 30k miles on the clock and runs flawlessly. Any suggestions? [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Buy some more bikes. Once you get 4 or 5, something will always be broken on one of them. Especially if you bring them home in pieces to begin with. Dean Wegner '75 XS650 (next project) '91 VX800 '92 VX800 (basket case, ALMOST works) '96 R1100RT '02 KLR650 '03 EX500 '03 KLX400

I would strongly suggest that you keep doing the same things you are doing. I have 23K on my 07 and it runs flawlessly. rw TotalHealth Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies in a dog.
