It looked kinda like that old Harley scooter (Topper I think it was called). This Japanese scooter had electric, orange turn signals. stealership??
I really thought I had it all worked out. Credit Union had pre-approved me for a loan within what I thought it would run... I had a substantial down payment, $1000 on hand. Tag on the Ruby Red 2012 KLR read: State Fair Savings, $500 off, $5799! Or so I thought. Finally I was going to have a big dual sport, a monster version of the bike I started out on. A Honda XL-125. Submitted my info, hoping for a better rate thru the manufacturer....yeah I know. Well, Suzuki was offering 0% recently... Salesguy mumbled something about Kawi was doing something along those lines.... Well, long story short: 1st loan was same rate as CU and 60 months long. Really, best you can do? So I explained that I had financing, but I wanted the sale price. Since it was end of model year and you need to move it, why not? He goes away and comes back to give me an "out the door" of $6899. Eleven hundred over the "sale" price. Still looking now. Maybe someday.....
