Hi,
I bought a 2003 KLR with less than 3000 miles about 6 months ago. I now have 5500 miles on it. In addition to the routine oil changes, chain cleaning/lubing etc. I've also installed Wattman's Thermobob. Currently I've got the bike's suspension disassembled and am installing Zerk fittings. With the rear wheel off I've noticed that the shock has a deteriorated rubber piece on the bottom that is falling apart. I haven't noticed any problems with how the ride feels but the condition of the shock causes concern. Here is my question-------------
Can I just leave the shock as is , or do I need to install a new one? Any recommendations for brand or type if installing a new one? They seem a little pricey and that's why I'm hesitating.
Thanks,
Dan Lammon

radiator question, pt ii
Do any of you all have a lead on a video or tutorial on how to remove the KLR's Radiator? And, yes, I have the Clymer Manual......
