My 761 front started scalloping at around 12,000 miles. I recommend replacing them as a set as well. I like the Shinko 705 front much better; it doesn't chase cracks nearly as badly. In fact, I love the 705s all the way 'round, they're just really soft, and thus they handle like a dream but erase themselves very quickly. The 761 is a trooper. :-)

I have a set on my KTM 950 a heavy high horsepower bike, known for eating rear tires I have more than 10,000 miles and both front and rear look like they are ready to go thousands of miles more. If you are paying someone to mount and balance tires its worth it to pay more for a long lasting tire Great street and dirt grip not great for soft sand and slick mud [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
