rear shock spring on a 2008 klr

One reason your stock spring may seem to be "sagged out" is the effect of the lowering links , which reduce the effective rate of the spring. Without the lowering links, you could still probably benefit by a spring in the neighborhood of 400-450 lb/in. The stock springs on the earlier bikes were 288 or 300 lb. I don't know the spec on the later ones,
