<><><><><> <><><><><> elcanaco, I've been running Kenda K270s for over 30,000 smiles. I run my front at 32 psi and rear at 36 psi on pavement. The first 300 or so smiles feel squirrelly to me in corners when I'm running "hard". After that the knobs have lowered just a tad and it feels a bit better. Or maybe I just get used to it. I consider the squirrelly feature a bonus and throttle limiting device. I like to ride what I have and although it would be great to be on a track all the time and running at 100% that isn't realistic for me. So I like to ride within what I think are safe limits for the machine I'm seated on. Put Kendas on a KLR and your speed may slow a bit. But if you can get enjoyment from riding what you've got you can probably still get a lot of enjoyment from each ride. I usually get about 6,000 smiles from a rear before I change it. It's not worn out but instead squared off. I'm thinking I could probably get 7,000 to 8,000 smiles from a rear if I was willing to push it. I'm not and I won't. I believe 90% of the flats happen in the last 10% of tire life. So I get to about 90% of tire life and put another on. For fronts I can usually get 9,000 smiles or more but at the price of a Kenda K270 I'm not against putting a new front on with a new rear.
