mich. helmet laws (and nklr opinion)

Post by James W. Flower » Sun Apr 15, 2012 1:08 pm

Good for Michigan. I recall with a thrill AND a shudder my days of riding in a backward leather newsboy cap and stadium goggles. Of course, back then I had some hair to stream in the wind. I can't prove it, but when the Calif helmet law first went in, I swear all the prices immediately went up. Captive market and all. There may be circumstances under which the govt has the right to force me to buy something, but it never has the right to force me to buy it from a private, for-profit company. That's one of the reasons I want no-fault insurance, and why I'd only be in favor of mandatory health insurance if we also extended the MediCare program to everyone. -JWF

I somehow missed two supercross programs on TV, does anyone know of anywhere they are available to watch? I think they were the two before the Daytona round. That would be Atlanta and St. Louis. One would think they would be available somewhere legally. Thanks. Alan Henderson

The simplest way would be if you have a stand alone dvd recorder. Just hook it up to the composite output off the dvr and sound, of course. This is the way that directv suggests you do it. The only problem is that it has to be recorded in real time so that if you have a two hour program it takes two hours to record to dvd. When I've done it in the past I set it to record and then go to bed. Alan Henderson
