I added one shim and upped the8 idle mixture 1/4 turn from stock. With the modified stock exhaust this is about perfect. California models come with an EEC (evaporative emissions control) system. This consists of a large cannister under the left side panel and various valves and hoses. This is not so much a performance mod as a reliability one. The cannisters can fill up with gas and cause your bike not to start. As long as you put everything back together right and plug any vacuum leaks from removing the EEC, it should run just fine. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. My brother had the exact same bike, right down to the year and color. I'm of the (popular) opinion that if you want more horsepower, the quickest way is to go buy a different bike. However, the mods listed above will make it "snappier" and more responsive, but you still won't be going 120MPH. It's just not the bike for that. > > -Jeff Khoury > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
