Post by mark ward » Sat Mar 10, 2012 3:21 pm

Hey all I was with a freind (I'm converting over to DS) he is looking at an 08, I need a reminder what the Issues with the first ones out? (oil burning etc??) He used to be a HARLEY guy, but the trips I make on the KLR, and that I easly kept up with him last summer, (up to 65mph) he has been drooling over my KLR650. Bad rings Fires The fires are due to electrical cable routing and are easily fixed though the Stealer would fix for free. I would not get an 08 unless they managed to get the dealer to fix the rings. Or OK if the PO bored it out.
