Thinking about an Enduro 3 Sahara for the front. Has anyone tried these? They're expensive so I'd like to hear someone say they're worth the money before trying them. Love the Kenda K761 on the back, which is still going strong after 7k miles, looks only half worn. The K761 front was a different story. Felt odd at first and took longer to scrub in. After that it felt as good as the Scorpion A/T it replaced both on and off pavement, except at extreme lean angles. They were both fine on hard packed roads and rocks but no good in sand as expected. The sawtooth effect from braking set in early and I thought the tire was not going to last but it's been there 6k miles. So, not a bad tire for the money, about half what the Scorpion cost. 99.99% of my miles are on pavement unfortunately. Hope to get a bigger slice of dirt in that pie graph eventually. http://www.jpcycles.com/kawasaki-motorcycle-parts/2000-kawasaki-kl650a14-klr/metzeler -- ian http://www.scarletfuries.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Scarlet-Furies/121218125931 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

nklr: taking scratches out of a helmet visor?

I have managed to polish out scratches using a jewelers buffing machine (my industry) and a product call Zam on a 6 or 8 inch silicon treated cotton buff running at 3600 rpm. There is a hard coat of some type that is removed (maybe a UV coat?) but it works pretty well. You will be polishing at 45, 90 and 135 degrees to the scratches to remove material and will have to feather the buffed area beyond the scratches. If you buff in the direction of the scratches you get polished scratches. I used this when the scratched area was to the side of the centerline of sight, scratches in the line of view would possibly still be distracting after treatment.
