This event is a true test of cold weather preperation. I've been doing it since the 70's: Start & Finish: Nathan's / Kohl Parking Lot Central Ave/Rte 100, Yonkers, NY - Overnight Parking Available Sign-in: 10:30pm Key Time: 12:00 MidnightDo you have the right stuff?? This is the longest running motorcycle event in the USA. This is not a race, but a timed event with the maximum schedule of 30 mph. Total distance will be 120 miles with a mid point lay-over to refresh yourself and socialize with fellow contestants. Trophies will be awarded to both expert and novice riders. There will also be a team trophy for AMA clubs with 3 entries. All qualified finishers will receive a coveted Crotona Midnight Run Medallion. Motorcycles must have legal mufflers. Computers & GPS's are not permitted. You don't have to be a superwoman/superman to ride this event, but it helps. This is an AMA District 34 point event. My Christmas present was three nights/days in Moab... I won't be able to take the KLR, so I'm looking to rent a bike (something smaller than my A14) while I am there. Since the group will be men with limited/no riding experience, we probably should get some quads as well. Any thoughts on where to go for rentals? Any thoughts on where to go to ride?
