The torsion spring seems like a better design BUT: 1)When you go about drilling the hole in the inner side case to anchor the torsion spring, you will find advice about different places to drill the hole. Instructions range from 5 to 7 o'clock. I followed the LEFTCOASTKLRS.COM which is a mouthpiece for Eagle-Mike. In the picture it shows 7ish but if you read all of the Mike's literature or the bag his torsion spring comes in you will get other positions rec'd. So, I am also going to drill a hole at 6 o'clock and use that hole. The reasoning is I have a newish engine but I don't want to pull the side cases again. 6 o'clock shouldn't put too much pressure on but should allow a very long time before you have to move it to 7 pm to compensate for balancer chain wear.
