I just went through this on my red one. I had a sticker that came off the faring just under the windshield and it left a real mess. I tried several things, but the two best were a 3M headlight cleaning kit and a plastic polishing kit from TAP. My faring looks better than new once I polished it with the 3M kit (includes two or three grades of sandpaper, a special pad, and a final mitten), and then polished it with the TAP kit (includes two mittens and two polishes) , and applied Pledge. It really worked great. 3M Kit http://3mcollision.com/3m-headlight-lens-restoration-system-39008-4218.html TAP System http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=499& http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=113& You only need #2 and #3. #1 is just a cleaner. Pledge http://www.pledge.com/en-US/Products/Pages/specialty-surfaces.aspx I have also tried Simichrome polish, DuPont white rubbing compound, DuPont red rubbing compound, Mother's wheel polish, and a few more. NONE of them worked well. The two above, in sequence, does the trick. You will need a good drill and I prefer the corded type because then it doesn't run out of batteries! Robert Wichert P.Eng.
