klr shock '00 vs '09

Received my '09 shock assembly via UPS yesterday. The shop had included both the upper bolt and lower bolt and nut. Pull the shock off the KLR. And laid everything side by side. The bolts and nuts the same to the MM. I didn't measure the difference in the height of the two shocks but side by side, same length. Since I had already had everything in there apart just last March, I just bolted everything back together and set the new stocker at 2 clicks on the spring. My old shock had a 425LR I had put on, probably about 10 years ago, when I was doing some aggressive riding in the Ozarks with 1" lowering struts.
So, anyone in wonderment on the shock exchange; you now have the rest of the story.
Total cost involved = 97 bucks for an '09 shock with about 1800 miles on it in perfect condition. Time involved, About an hour with time out to play with the dog and sip on cold coffee.
