small antifreeze drip

The small screw on the underside of the water pump housing is for draining the coolant. I overlooked it when I pulled the right side cover to fix the shifter mechanism. Made a big mess instead pulling the hoses. I would make sure that screw is sealed up before worrying about the ceramic seal inside. You'll need two gaskets plus the ceramic seal if you end up doing that job. The big gasket is now over $25 retail. A word of caution: don't damage the impeller shaft or threads which are part of the balancer shaft. You'll be splitting the cases if you do. I would think the ceramic seal failing would show up as coolant in the oil or vice versa, or both.

On the bash plate just under the water pump, usually about 5 minutes into a ride, there appears 2-3 drops of coolant. There is is no wetness around the pump, hoses or gasket. The small 8mm bolt under the pump into the case seems to be damp when rubbed with a tissue. Any idea what this could be? Don't want to show it this way. Thanks in advance >
