Big company. They even made the torpedo plane used at Pearl Harbor in WWll to sink a few of our ships. I think they also build ships. The logo on Yamaha's is meant to be 3 tuning forks...because.....pianos was where they began in business. My son has one of their baby grands. BSA began as a small arms manufacturer. BMW's logo is meant to represent an airplane propeller. They were making airplanes for WWl if I remember correctly. Criswell

I'm remembering a Kawasaki commercial from the 70s.... the biker rides up and says: "Kawasaki. It's not a sewing machine". Always wondered if that was a jab at Yamaha ("it's NOT a piano"), or perhaps they were poking some fun at themselves. Kawasaki had some risqu commercials back then, most of which were not shown in the USA. We got the "Let the good times roll" ones, which became classics.
