The beginning of this thread, somebody took a dirt nap (skypilot?) and messed up a mirror(s). The reply fits into the category of armoring your KLR, which precipitates a couple of comments: I have two of these mirrors [bought from Fred] installed on our off-road bikes as 'single-mirror' applications and have been very pleased with the results. The pivot-ball construction allows for plenty of give when you, uh, dirt nap. Not that I would know. They would work equally well on the KLR if I did not have mirror isolators that Fred has carried in the past. The mirror isolators help stabilize the visual image, but the larger benefit for me, they also bend/flex about 30 degrees when the bike is taking a dirt nap. Not that I would know. cough. And while you are at it: If you don't have the mirror clutch- perch that relocates from the signal quadrant to the clutch lever clamp; do yourself a $120 favor and order that as well. If you fall down on the left, you are likely to break off the mirror on the signal quadrant plus destroy the $120 switch and you will still have to buy the 'perch'. Not that I would know. Heck, while you got out the VISA, get some more of the very useful armor items that will make your KLR a lot more fun to ride in the environment it was designed to excel: bark busters DR650 foot pegs gel grips Vista Cruise throttle lock plug and play fuse kit revmaaatin. who knows there is more, oh, much more to armor.> > The Ken Sean Enduro Mirrors attach to your stock mirror location and will fold behind your handlebars.
