riding signals
Around here, we also do that. Pat, Pat on the helmet is a speed trap or cop, sometimes followed by fingers for number of miles back.

HEY ALL
While on the trip I noticed when an on coming rider pats the top of his helmet it meens SPEED TRAP (COPS) AHEAD.
Patting the top of the helmet refers to the lights on top of a cop car.
Being an out of stater AND MOSTLY that I was riding in a High TOUREST area, (lots of others around) I stayed pretty close to the propper speed anyways.
This trip the deal was, I HAD TO, smell the roses,
NOT fly threw a trip so the whole trip fast, I blow the peddles of the roses.
