klr muffler replacement
The only replacement muffler worth the price will be a tractor muffler from Fleet Farm or Tractor Supply. It will be louder, quite cheap, and will only cost a few horsepower. Since safety is your concern, I assume you will be content to make do with slightly less.
Although you may be happier with a louder bike, you will not really be any safer. But you can revel in the knowledge you have saved several hundred bucks over an aftermarket muffler.
