klr farkle you don't own-
Yeah, I'm bored.
Who is the Grinch who stole Spring?
Weather in the Dakota's = 11 months of uncertainty and 1 month of extraordinary uncertainty.
And to top that off, this is that '1' month.
It has snowed here on the prairie--10 inches past two days and more in the forecast tonight. Tomorrow. and the 3 days following. Floods to the East; it is more like Lake Dakota along the James River (flowing South) and the Red River (North Dakota; flowing N). The extra snow will give them another slug of run-off to areas overwhelmed with water.
It has almost been riding wx a couple of days--I have cycled the bikes home from cold storage to home to storage 3x. IT is beginning to feel a little like Ground Hog Day-movie.
and
Overwhelmed with the dearth of 'list' ride reports as well.
Judging by the list traffic, no-one else seems to be riding as well. Maybe they are 'pimping' their ride?
While looking at digital tire pressure gages, I find this:

Here is one farkle that I bet NOBODY has on their KLR.
At least nobody has admitted to this usable, 'pimp' device.
Although I think it is OEM on Gold Wings, BMW and some HD.

No monitoring system, but I do have a digital tire pressure gauge that announces
the pressure in English or Spanish...
Lots of rain & changeable temps in southern PA, but it's been mostly rideable
since the ice/sleet/freezing rain have departed.

I guess I'm ready to ride, but no, he weather has not been too nice, esp. on the weekends. Before I go out I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go buy duplicates of all the motorcycle license tabs that were "misfiled" in a recent remodeling of my dining room. It's not all that much money for five or six bikes, but it is really annoying to spend it twice, and worse, to take a number and wait over at the DMV office, again.
OTOH, weather that is too blustery to encourage riding is not so bad for pedaling. My 3-speeds are starting to come out of hibernation, and I have been putting some miles on my favorite, the '64 Triumph with the 3x3 Cyclo-Benelux/Sturmey AW drive train.
A bicycle allows me to get into neighborhoods where the streets have been closed to motor traffic because of the flooding. A 3-speed in particular allows me to take a dog along. On the Pugsley, if he stops suddenly to dump in the street, the leash will pull the straight handlebar back and put me on the ground. With the North Road bars on a Raleigh, my hand will pull off the bar and I will have time to stop the bike.

The weather hasn't really been much better in PA since Thanksgiving. I
usually can ride most of the winter, but the cold set in earlier, and that's
how long it's been since I rode. We didn't go below zero, but it stayed cold
all winter.
As Spring progressed, March was much colder than usual. I think we've had
maybe 3 days over 70 so far this year. None were on weekends.
I've been at work a lot, too. The KLR is sitting with a flat rear tire, so I
have to fix that (might as well replace the Cheng Shin C858 at the same
time)
Looks like my first ride of the year will be in California. Leaving Friday,
first thing will be to check on the KLR in the shed at my wife's house. It
will be a full year again, so I'm wondering if that AGM battery still has
any juice. It did last year.
Meanwhile, the KLR, Sherpa, ZRX, and Ninja 650 are still in hibernation.
