nklr: krylon fusion paint

I followed some conversations regarding this plastic paint, then decided to try a can.
It is easily the worst paint that I have ever bought. It didn't spray in a fine mist, rather it splattered in a liquidy mess - very splotchy.
I could more easily used rhino liner - it looks the same.
Any similar experience with this stuff?

Either you got a bad can or it wasn't warm enough or fully mixed.
I bought a fender extension for my GL1800 and sprayed it semi-gloss black
with Fusion and it turned out great - Nice & smooth.

I've bought a can of spray paint that splattered, and had also noticed someone must have done a test spray, because a tiny of dry paint was on the tip, and INSIDE IT, causing the uneven spray, Cleaned it out well and was OK.
(NOW I DBL, check before buying.)

I paint a lot of stuff on bikes.
Fusion usually comes out looking ok, but due to the nature of being a "plastic paint", it never really cures to a finish I would call "good-looking". However if you're painting Polypropylene plastic (like the KLR's fenders / Side panels / handguards) it's either that or bedliner.
I go with the bedliner, Duplicolor brand. Prep is simple. Sand with an orbital and 220 grit to rough the surface, wipe with alcohol to remove waxes, oils and dust... then just spray it on in multiple medium-thickness coats. It cures flexible and adheres well, provided you did your prep properly.
If you're looking to paint ABS plastic (Like the '08+ fairings/cowling), a traditional paint will work.

I used Krylon (flat black) to paint an International Safety Orange (color) Pelican Box ( sanded the box first) and it looks OK, but in some areas where there is wear/rubbing the Krylon rubbed off. Easy fix, just hit it again. Next time I will try bed liner and not paint though.
