Over cast & 45........I've got SUNNY & 24 F.
Where is your global warming HEATWAVE?
We are SUPPOSED to get to the 40's this week, I and VERY tempted to take of heading south for a couple of weeks UNTILL ..............it's warm enough and streets clean of ice agian to come home.
Many yr's in Mi. We get an almost summer weather for a few weeks in march, THEN BAM a last BIG SNOW. Often the biggest of the yr.

I is great fun for my hands and eyes to roam over my old bike. All plastic is on the bench now for sanding and painting. Gas tank has a bit of rust underneath but clean inside. So, a bit of sanding and prime and paint. The upper surface is still in great shape so not gonna mess with it. Tires and turn signals being replaced.
Next phase is to pressure wash it, dry it and start on the mechanical stuff. See both fork seals weeping so I'll just start on the front first. Forks apart, cleaned and all bearing in the wheels and steering stem checked.
But, today is overcast, north wind and 45 degrees out there and this old dude don't have to work in the shop till it's back to comfortable.
I'm just not understanding the problem with the brake fluid bleed / change out. I guess because I've done so many times, alone, and pumping. But I do have a vac pump also. Depends on my mood if in I use it or not.

One of the best spectator disciplines of our sport. Think the reason it hasn't taken off is lack of glamor and general notoriety. We used to ride lots in the Lucern Valley and happened onto several events. Spent most of the weekend watching the competitions. There's couple of big events scheduled annually in No CA that I'm determined to attend. Thanks for reminding me to check the calendar. Never rode a trials bike but they look like fun "in their element." Riders remind me of cats, always landing on their feet. Those days are over for me

Agreed that observed trials is one of the best shows in motorsports, especially at the highest levels. These superb athletes make seemingly impossible leaps and feats of balance and control. apparently defying the laws of physics, like the Cirque de Soleil on wheels.
Perhaps one reason the sport hasn't caught on here is that nobody wears a cowboy hat. No Toby Keith to glorify the sport with jingoistic goober music, no Robby Gordon to bloviate around the course in a 160 decibel Hummer. The top players aren't good ole boys, they look more like kids, slender Spaniards and dimimuitive Japanese.
You can't just sit back in a lawn chair with a Coors Light to watch, either. To get a good view, you may have to hike or ride some rugged terrain yourself, climb some rock cliffs or hang from a tree branch to get a good view of the action. But what a terrific show.
