front brake bleeding problem

Post by cycletip » Sat Mar 05, 2011 10:35 am

Well heinz, you might have got more than you asked for on this one but these things seem to take on a life of their own. Much of this stuff is good for everyone to re-read now and again to keep familiar with the brake system. They're not too complicated but do have they're idiosyncrasies which need to be understood. The two things which I use that really simplify the process of bleeding and changing out brake fluid are a - Mighty Vac and using SpeedBleeders on each caliper. This way all the work is done by sucking not pushing the fluid through the system. Mighty Vac is something like $30 - 40 available everywhere and the SpeedBleeders aren't much more than $10 - $12 if that much. Sure makes life easier and works on any bike.
