Anyone know anything about "Fisher seats & D.S. saddle bags"? (I can not find the $10. + "atv" seat at a walmart in Mi., anyone have the prt.# maybe I can order it from them.) Fisher: They are $189. +shiping (they say aprox $10 each way ups,?) using your stock seat. est. 1 week ship to return, after receiving your seat. If I remember right other brands run abou $300. ?? Is this anouther,..... the ad, is better then the service? It was sent to me by aouther member of GLDS. "Great lakes Dual sports", A good D.S. club for mich. etc. area. Sounds like you get just a seat cover for $189. That s a pretty expensive cover. For $300+ you get the whole seat. The problem with most KLR seats is the foam is too soft. So putting a cover over your stock foam isn t going to gain you much. I hear that the Studebaker seats are going to be available again soon. I can get you a seat cover for about $45 and new foam with a gel insert for about $130 I just looked at the Fisher site and they reuse your old seat cover and replace the foam. :-/ http://www.fishersaddlebags.com/seats.html Fred www.arrowheadmotorsports.com From: mark ward Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2011 8:00 AM To: List KLR Subject: [DSN_KLR650] custom Seats Anyone know anything about "Fisher seats & D.S. saddle bags"? Does anybody know of somebody who will do "real custom" seats? Like something as thin as possible, with a firm gel padding. Maybe stepped. I'm looking for a way to get down and paddle, if necessary, without lowering the bike with links. Robert P. Your local motorcycle shop should know someone in your area that will work on your seat. Anyone that does upholstery should be able to stich you a seat cover. If you can t find a gel pad, I can that for you. This is a local guy (to me) I used to reinvent my 31 yr old BMW seat. http://www.hotexoticleathers.com/ (no animals were harmed in the making of his website). Although not shown, I've seen competition dirt bike seats there plus he does cars, home furniture, etc. Don R100, A6F

I know a lady south of Dallas that redid my Corbin for $55 and one day service. Looks brand new. Probably can't count on one day service but she did a bang up job. Criswell
