k&n filter question...fit?

Yes they fit in the stock airbox of the KLR,i moded the top of my box by cutting an L shaped cutout in the top of it but left the door of the airbox on and added the latest Supertrap slipon muffler to. Of course i rejetted the carb i forget what stock was but i installed a 42 pilot and went to a 160 main and also raised the needle with a 6 or seven thou washer, you should also take the cap off the fuel air mixture screw and turn out to about 1 1/2 turns from fully closed as per Marks Carb Mods which you can Google, gas MPG seems not to be affected but seat of the pants giddy up feels a lot better. I know this is more info than you asked for but if your going the K&N route for a bit more "UMFF" you might as well go all the way "A" "or not". Stu. To: mac-doo@... I would have no problem running K&N in the stock airbox. Do they fit? Robert P. Wichert P.Eng LEED AP +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================

I've managed that kind of mileage in those situations but otherwise, you oughtta be seeing mpg in the 40s at least some of the time. > > > > da Vermonster > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > ------------------------------------ > > List Sponsors - Dual Sport News: http://www.dualsportnews.com > Arrowhead Motorsports: http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com > List FAQ courtesy of Chris Krok: http://www.bigcee.com/klr650faq.html > Member Map: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_KLR650/app/peoplemap/view/map > Group Apps: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_KLR650/grouplets/subscriptionsYahoo!
