Back around 2002 I was riding an ST 1100 Honda (93 model year). Plenty of miles on the motor (50 K +). I used Mobil One car motor oil exclusively (red cap 15/50) in this bike but once conming back from the west coast going through AZ, I couldn't buy Mobil One nor any other synthetic oil to top off the motor, and it was low on oil as I used close to a quart (of petroleum oil) to top it off, No problemo. Left that oil in the crankcase rest of the trip home. Put another 40 K miles on that bike before I sold it Jake Reddick Fla. We believed that anything worth doing was worth overdoing.
