nklr: helmet camera legality revisited

Cops have to put up with a lot of jerks all day and every day so probably have no sense of humor. I try and avoid relations with them but am glad my town has a strong police force. My last neighborhood didn't. After a rapist in the hood, numerous car break-ins and one car stolen, we moved to the burbs. We haven't seen a police helicopter fly over our house since. The last ticket I got was for doing 11 over near El Asso (El Paso). It was going to cost me $230 but wanting to keep it off my record, I got an internet lawyer and he got me deferred adjudication...... which wound up costing me $430 buckaroos. Short people got no reason to live (Randy Newman).

I know this is a generalization but in my experience there has been a huge difference. Short cops often feel threatened and pull their guns and yell even though there is no threat to them. Recently a big redneck CHP pulled me over for going 82 and he saw I was being relatively safe with armour, light traffic etc and he let me go. He said he will go get a sport bike doing over 90 instead. A short cop would have barked at me with gun drawn and written me. Jeffrey #3
