I did not have a good experience with Seafoam. It clogged my carb and had to have the carb purged. The only additive I use currently is StarTron (www.startron.com). 1 FL oz per 6 gallons (hey, made just for the KLR! 
). Since I've used (over a year) this I have had zero problems with the fuel system. Here is the list of bennies using it:
- Stabilizes gasoline up to 2 years
- Cures ethanol problems
- makes engine run smoothly
- Rejuvinates old fuel
- Makes engines start easily
- Improves fuel economy
- Cleans valves and injectors
- Reduces emissions
- Removes carbon and varnish
- helps remove water
8oz bottle is about $7-8
