There are two solutions, Zen Motorcycle sells a set specifically machined for the KLR650 and includes the longer bolts. Raises the bars about .70 inches, and cost about $35 IIRC. Also, cheap b*stards have suggested using a second set of the caps from the handlebar clamps and a longer set of bolts. The caps are about $9 each (ronayers.com) and the bolts from the hardware store.

I have a set of almost new Gen Mar risers. They are black, with 1 inch rise for 7/8 bars. (I have no bike for them now so they will go on Ebay this weekend.) They were $85.00 with shipping when I bought them from Gen Mar. The first $55, postage included, gets em. Email me direct: channel.talk@... JR in Washington

Eagle Handlebar Risers PIC 12-7032 Black Includes longer bolts 29.95 Raises handlebars 18mm for better comfort and control INFO These are at: http://www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/parts_frames.html Check them out.. Eagle Mike makes them, so you have two of our guys in the loop, Fred at Arrowhead, and Mike at Eagle... BTW, I have them and they aren't a HUGE change, but they helped my wrist out a ton. Ron in MN

Doug, Suggest you go down to a bike shop and take various bars (Renthals, for example) out and compare 'em to your stockers, till you find higher ones with more 'pull-back', then put 'em on. Ed

Nothing. I did however loosen bars and rotate them forward about as far as I could as to not hit the fairing. (Then adjusted the controls) Gave me the ability to stand on pegs and not have to reach back to hang onto bars, yet sitted I can reach without a issue. Same with my forks I have them up about 3/4" outta triple, gave me that little bit of lowering I wanted to have better footing offroad I needed, but nothing changed, and its free farkle. Be careful putting the forks up like that. If you get them to high then you could get a high speed shake, worst case schenario would be a tank slapper. You shorten the rake and trail when you raise the forks.
