Using a 46T rear, 14T front required a 108T chain. Using a 13/43T combination--the front 13T sprocket saw considerable wear in 2500 miles. IRT to 13T sprocket and chain wear: I experienced rapid sprocket wear, not chain wear. This was on a chain that had only 1500 miles (ingress to the GDR) then the 13T added. Chain was washed frequently with WD-40 during the ride. and I would do it again. re: 13/43. revmaaatin.> > Based upon experience, 16T will fit without modification, but will leave a rub mark on the cover. > > Based upon my research, 17T requires a little clearancing of the plastic cover. 14 and 13 fit fine, but some complain of excess wear on the chain with the 13. Can't vouch for the "truthiness" of that though. > > Going up on the rear sprocket may require going to a 108-link chain according to my reading (Stock is 106). > > -Jeff Khoury
