battery charging current

Post by Richard Decker » Fri Jul 09, 2010 12:52 pm

Yeah... agreed. I've put three wet batteries in my KLR in 5 years. I'll replace it next time with an AGM. -Rich in Newberg, OR

what kind of atf for forks?

Post by Jeffrey » Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:55 pm

Any kind. Though the best is probably Dexron VI because it is supposedly made to go 100,000 miles in newer Mercedes and BMWs. The newer Mercedes don't even come with auto tranny dipsticks anymore. Mercedes I just put back the same amount I pumped out of the dipstick tube with my boat oil changer pump. BMWs just have a fill plug on side and drain plug on bottom of tranny pan; not even a dipstick tube. Any trans fluid would work and it isn't necessary to pay up for Dexron VI. The weight of ATF is around 10. Just use the same in both forks. Jeffrey #3
