I have a JT42 rear sprocket brand new in package. I would like to swap for a 16T front.

This is more of a warning than a "09 KLR - For Sale".
I was getting tires mounted at a local Kawi, Suzuki, Ducati dealer and the one salesman wanted me to look at a recent trade-in (thinking I might help him dump it).
It was the metallic green w/ silver paint but the rest was all different: 1.) 19" front tire, brace, and a real wide Excel rim laced up to the std hub that was sporting what looked like the mega-EBC rotor; 2.) the rear tire (std 130/80-17) mounted on a real wide Excel rim laced to the Kawi hub; 3.) the seat had been 'zoned' (driver's area & passenage area) and reused the original cover; 4.) The muffler had been gutted and had what looked like a home-made plate and outlet pipe; 5.) it had been dropped on the right-side and the cowling had several fender washer equipped screws holding it on; 6.) 10,500 miles.
I asked if any of the stock parts were available since it would have been the only way to increase the value of this science experiment, but none were.
I'm still waking up at night in a cold sweat thinking about it - poor KLR.
