oil question on a versey?

Anybody out there have a Versey? I just bought one. I am thinking of running the same oil I use in my KLR and Connie which is Shell Rotella dino 15 / 40 W. Book says use 10/ 40W but I don't think it will matter??? Also what is the valve adjustment interval. Book is a little confusing on that and I haven't got a service manual yet. The dealer said 15,000 miles. Anybody make a reaer rack for them or will the JC Whittney rear container work on them?

Ron,
I use the same 20w-50 Mobil 1 car oil in both, Walmart filters in the "V" (the LONGER ones, about $3/ each). Try this link
http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2846
to get ALL the Versys manuals as downloads. Valves somewhere in the 600 to 26,000 mile interval, this from other listers. At 16,500 on mine, I'll do them next fall when I return to AZ for the season.
ENJOY one helluva bike! (Last ride on mine, 200 miles included 80 miles of dirt roads...!)
Cheers,
Ed
