If you are dumb enough to wrap a rag around a chain with the engine running you are asking for that... If his bike is on a center stand, in 2nd gear, and he is spraying WD40 onto the chain how are his fingers going to get caught ? Heck I prop the right swingarm tip up on a rubber mallet, just enough to raise the tire off the ground, hold in clutch idling bump into gear with WD40 can an spray the chain.
