It has been ten years ago today that our KLR mail list was created by Kurt Simpson on Yahoo. This gathering of friends actually happened a few years before that on several other forums. It has been a very interesting ride to see all the ups and downs that these lists have gone through. I have learned a lot about the KLR and about people in general by these lists. I thank all the members that have created and kept going the best KLR list on the internet all these years. Long live the KLR.

Relative new guy here (10 months?). This is a neat list, and I've belonged to several. It has helped me with my KLR immensely and like you say, helped me learn about people, too. Basically, the owners of a KLR are a quick to help others bunch that I'd be proud to ride with any day. Happy riding, ya'll! eddie

Thank you, Fred and Kurt. This list has been both entertaining and informative. It's helped me get to know my bike better, enjoy the whole KLR experience more, and save a few bucks along the way.

I enjoy your moderating Fred. Seems you wait awhile before interjecting regarding questionably offensive/silly/off-topic/hyper-polemic exchanges on the list. The wait allows the rest of us to see where the exchange is going or entertainment and, sometimes the exchange changes for the more reasonable and we all learn from it.
Cheers to you!

Agreed! Thanks for moderating Fred. I love the NKLR stuff as well as the KLR stuff that comes through. Makes the list feel more like a community than a technical brain dump. -Rich in Newberg, OR
