Pete Galfer pads are junk. Check the pad thickness compared to the EBC or even stock ones. When my Galfer pads arrived, I took one look and said, "pads this thick is when I usually change pads". They went back. I have heard that fitment isn't very good either. I have had great sucess with EBC Rod

I just put new galfer pads on my 07 KLR ,Front pads seem to be fine but rear still makes a scraping sound when applied.I took a 130 mile ride yesterday you would think they would be wore in by now.Any suggestions?

Does your rear brake pedal feel mushy?  I'd check to see that both ears on your brakepads are in the hanger that holds these brakepads to your caliper and also check the brakepads are flush and parallel to the rotor.   You didn't happen to leave out the spacer between the rear hub and the sprocket carrier did you? I saw a few from MI here on the list. And Marshal even suggested a tech day. I am interested. I'd like to do the "do", amoung other mods. Tim SE Michigan
