So here we are. I am now comfortable with the seat height of the KLR. But before I could buy one, I had to make room by selling one of my bikes. The 1999 Vulcan 750 had to go. It is a great bike, but no good for the back roads of Veracruz. I offered it on Craig's list for $2500, or trade for a KLR650 of equal value. This kid called me with a CBR 600 that he wanted to trade. Although, the CBR is worth a lot more money, it wasn't any good to me. Then he came back to me later saying he found another kid with a 2007 KLR who wanted to trade for his CBR. He suggested a three-way title swap. Sounded good to me, so we are scheduled to do this tomorrow night. The party of the 1st part test road my Vulcan last night and wanted it. I just have make sure the KLR is in good shape tomorrow. I have just seen pictures so far. If everything works out, I should have a bike worth about $1000 more than my Vulcan without any cash out of pocket. We will see. It comes with a gel seat and custom directionals. All else is stock. 8xxx miles. Doubt if the doohickey has been upgraded. Tim
