oil cap horror

Aside from wanting to secure an oil cap so it won't come free on a ride, the tamper-resistant factor of a hex-keyed cap is a plus.
I may have told this one before. So, bear with me. A local shop got in a early-80's Honda CB900 Custom, the model with the two-range transmission and shaft drive. The rear gear unit had seized up. Seems the owner's little boy and a friend were playing in the dirt driveway around the bike with matchbox cars and noticed the vent cap on the gear unit was missing. Take two bored little boys, add a hole that "needed filling with sand"..... you get the picture. Dad didn't find out until he tried to ride the bike to work. It didn't take long for the sand and gear oil mix to ruin things inside.
