trailering?

Post by Jud » Tue Mar 23, 2010 10:45 am

All you really need is to tie down the front of your bike properly. Run the front wheel into a chock or up against a bulkhead. Use good-quality cam-lock tie-downs like Ancras. I like the ones with the built-in soft ties. Attach the tie downs to the handlebars, or to the forks just above the lower triple clamp. Run them forward and as far outboard as possible. For short trips, nothing is really necessary for the rear wheel. For a cross-country trek, you might want to screw down lengths of 1x2 on either side of the rear tire to keep it from drifting off to one side. A single tie-down looped through the spokes and run to the back of the trailer will accomplish the same thing.

I will be using a wheel chock, but any other advise would be great including, diagrams, pics, links, ........ > > Thank you, > > Michael >
