No harm in changing the oil sooner than recommended.

I use in-ear buds, currently on set of JVC's that cost about $20. I was using Skull Candy Ink'd before these but had two sets of those fail. The sound quality was better on the Skull Candy units [until the sound was no longer there anyway]. It's a little tricky getting a helmet on over the in-ear headphones without knocking them loose but it can be done. By far the greatest improvement I've made to the phones, regardless of the brand is replacing the foam around the drivers with replacment from radio shack. Really helps cut wind noise so you can hear the music at a low enogh level to still hear traffic around you. What he said. I personally *really* like the Etymotic ER-6/ER-6p earphones. They come with silicone 3-flange and rollable-foam plug inserts, and 3 sizes of the foam inserts are available. They're made by a hearing-aid manufacturer and have terrific sound quality. On a cross-country trip I found the Etys -- music or no music -- cut more road/wind/engine noise than generic "30db" foam earplugs. Better for my ears *and* music if I want it? I'm sold. Thor

Luc, It's your battery. Service it and charge. If it's bad, replace it. A fully charged battery in good condition should read about 12.6 v across the terminals. The voltage should not drop below 10v while cranking the starter. If it's not up to snuff, or does not hold a charge overnight, you can try "the old aspirin trick", three tablets ground to powder and added to the cells before re-charging.... Then replace it. Just kidding. Sometimes it does work.
