Planning to do this for my bikes and I have noted some helpful pics from others who have done the job already. But does anyone know what size T and what size hose that is. Was planning to go get materials from Lowes or Home Depot I guess. I saw a kit somewhere for $18, but figure I can get it for less on my own. Thanks in advance for any help on the right specks.

Todd,
When I do the Tee mod I use a 1/4" od tee and 1/4" id hose. I get 2 feet
of hose and run it along the backbone to the steering head.
Best,

Todd,
Good choice to do this mod. Especally if you ride anywhere it will rain, or ride through water.
The most recent T mod fitting (on a buddies bike in Hawaii) was purchased at an autoparts store and we did a Y fitting instead of a T. the Y-fitting was not shaped like a capital Y by a lower case y. The trasition was much cleaner, and the next one I do, I will look for that fitting.
The y fitting was $5 in a box of 5-6 fittings. Use one, throw the rest away. sigh.
I think you need ~18" of hose (1/4")ID.
Picture this: Same parts store,
We need some vaccum hose to fit this fitting
Walk back to the hose reels--
"How much is this?"
$2/ft
I'll take 18" (its on a reel)
We only sell it by the foot.
GOod. I'll take $3 worth.
We only sell it by the foot.
The guy could not would not sell me 18".
Great. Buy 2 ft. Throw 6 inches away.
SAme experience in a parts store in SD.
HOse on a reel, and could not would not sell me anything other than 1/ft unit-lengths
headshake.
I thought I was in a health care debate. or was it a math debate?

Would you have preferred getting 18" and paying for 24" ?
Bulk is bulk.. Unit of sale is a Foot not an Inch.. Perhaps the software cannot understand 1.5 Feet but can understand 2 Feet.
Still better than having to buy a whole spool eh...
Most places, including myself when in retail always error on the side of too much than not enough, let the customer trim to what is actually needed to fit the need.
My $.02

I think Tommy Gomes created UniGoop in her honor. I've heard from my bombero amigos that she closely resembled UniGoop when they rolled the truck off of her silken, creamy thighs.

I could never get an answer if you needed fuel resistant
tubing ($7.00/ft) or if you could use ordinary vinyl.(0.15 /ft). The Vinyl
seems to be holding up
