ah, Jennifer-- I am pretty sure it occurs on March 32. AS you recall, there was an auction to pay for her funeral. I was able to buy some of the last parts of her scavenged/salvaged KR. I know I was the winning bid on the the KLR prototype of the hyper charger. a little side bar note: Jennifer's death is how we got the name, KiLeRista, due to her death in Mexico; the -ista being feminine and all. sigh. They warned her that those trick prototype farkled KLR's would be the death of the uninformed. First day after I mounted those farkles, the bike spit me out; put me in the hospital for 13 days in '06. Cost the insurance company >$30K just to keep me quiet. I had pretty much forgotten the whole incident, cept when the wx changes and the busted ribs pinch me with their tedious contractions. Then Buster Brown was through here last Spring, odd thing happened while we were chewing the echinacea root and watching the sunset, said, "your daughter, looks just like Jennifer." I will have to take his word for it, as I don't recall ever meeting her. Something else that is odd, my wife's name is nearly an anagram match for Jennifer. And she thinks KLR's are cute. I take it she was blonde, a whore, got killed in Mexico on her KLR and loved farkle. Anyone care to put all the pieces together for those new on this forum... what kind of person she really was, how she was killed, goofy... etc.? Roger, I never met mata hari, but this is what I have learned--and has been part of my submission for the Puklitzer pie for 2007. Summary: Her death was cross-border JCS ordered/directed 'black-ops' operation. Some claim/thought she was a smuggler of the worst degree. Often used fish-mongers truck and a taco stand to sell her goods. When the M-13 heard of her involvement and they were not getting their cut, they tried to muscle her out of the businesss. The JCS in order to cover their own tush, issued a burn notice. Once that happens, it is all but over. It was all a messy, messy business. After she was killed, and her busines burned to the ground, her 'nest' was raided for any additional incriminating evidence. Low and behold, she had a stack of receipts from some place in Moab selling motorcycle parts, and gasolina containers containing 91octane fuel. The business burned brightly--oh, so brightly, due to the gasolina stored under the tacco-food preparation tables--that only KLR riders knew about. You knew you had 'arrived' at Jennifer's--the signage said, KiLeRer: Stop here. Eat. Get Gas. As earlier noted, that KiLeRer signage is now part of the KLR lore: we are forever known as KiLeRista's, in honor of her valiant, but short lived service to the KLR community. You will notice that many here speak poorly, even harshly of the deceased. You should ask why.... yes, why indeed. revmaaatin.
