Here are some of the bedliner paint, before and after the decal removal. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30556919&l=1e30b494a9&id=1121850447 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3 ... 1121850447 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3 ... 1121850447 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3 ... 1121850447 -Jeff Khoury ----- Original Message ----- From: "Luc Legrain" To: transalp1@..., "Jeff Khoury" Cc: "KLR650 list" DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Thursday, February 25, 2010 2:44:01 PM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] paint   Pictures somewhere ?? --- On Thu, 2/25/10, Jeff Khoury wrote: From: Jeff Khoury Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] paint To: transalp1@... I get a lot of compliments on that finish.  I've removed all the decals and the fenders, hand guards and side panels are all bedliner.  I've gotten several people ask me if it's a Ducati. :) -Jeff Khoury ----- Original Message ----- From: "transalp 1" To: "KLR650 list" Sent: Thursday, February 25, 2010 12:56:34 PM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific Subject: [DSN_KLR650] paint   Quite by accident, I stumbled upon touch-up paint for the red used on the 09' KLR650. I  had the seat off Monday and saw where the seat covering staples had worn a spot on the backside of the fuel tank. Not wanting it to rust, I grabbed a bottle of Dupli-Color # TY 01560 "Super red II 3E5 Toyota" Scratch Fix 2in1 paint. It's a near perfect match! eddie

Also, as a side-note: if you want to use bedliner on your plastics, surface prep is CRITICAL if you want it to stick.  1.  Sand every bit of every surface with an orbital sander and 220 grit.  2.  Wipe with alcohol.  3.  Fill any deep scratches with Bondo.  4.  Feather and smooth 5.  Spray.  If you do this, it sticks like crazy. It is flexible and vastly tougher than polypropylene.  -Jeff Khoury On Feb 25, 2010, at 2:44 PM, Luc Legrain > wrote:   Pictures somewhere ?? --- On Thu, 2/25/10, Jeff Khoury > wrote: From: Jeff Khoury > Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] paint To: transalp1@...transalp1@...
