fs: modded klx650 on va cl

Ya know, I was going to ask about this anyway.  I am slightly optimistic that spring will eventually come, and I am looking to slightly farkle my 2009 Ebony baby.   I want the absolute [b]LOUDEST[/b] horn I can find, that won't be sticking out like a sore thumb, looking ugly, destroying the looks of the front of the bike.  Right now pretend that money is no object......  It is an issue, of course, but I want to have the full range of ideas, so we can pretend for now that I have unlimited funds.   If I have to mount it behind a cover, that's fine, so long as it doesn't block noise.  If I have to mount it outside the covers, that's also fine, if it isn't making my pretty machine turn ugly.   Ideally, I'd like it to sound like a modern freight train is bearing down on whomever I happen to blow the horn out, or even US Navy ship, but I'll settle for "Mack Truck" or "Peterbilt" if that is all I can get.    I'm sure there are about 1000 opinions on the list.  Let's hear them.  I can also accept photos, if you want to show me how yours was mounted/wired, but you'll probably have to send them to my personal email.  charlesf@...   I understand the need to wire them with a relay, so any suggestions on what harness to buy (although I can make my own I am sure, but sometimes it isn't worth the time to save the money) would also be appreciated.   Thank you in advance. The Stebel compact is the horn that you're looking for. I've seen threads on other sites debating whether the Stebel is in fact too loud, to the point of unduly scaring and panicking other drivers. The Stebel compact twin air horn comes with the relay and a schematic to wire it to your bike. ...as we all know better to have your escape route ready and be able to execute it than worrying about hitting the horn but it is a good item to increase that safety factor.

The Blazer model #BH101LC sold at AutoZone is only about $20 and mounts in place of the stock horn with almost no modification. (No special skills needed). It doesn’t go “beep beep” like the typical motorcycle horn, it’s made for cars, but fits bikes well and is considerably louder.

I drilled two impressions each in the low area on the top of the stands, then roughed up some marbles and fixed them in the dimples with JB-Weld. I use 4 bathroom scales that are set at 90 degree apart around the wheel. Each scale is calibrated by NASA engineers just moments before I balance the tire to be sure the scales are "dead on balls accurate," it's and industry term.
