Well said Rev. We here about term limits all the time and most people I talk to, agree there should be, but the fact is, the people have control via their vote. If a person wants term limits, then vote them out after a term or two. Like all other positions of power, it is hard for our Senators and Representatives to know when it is time to leave.... that is why we must tell them by voting out of office any one of them who has been in their position for more than 2 terms. Does not matter which of the 2 dominant parties, they appear to be equally corrupt and arrogant. I think it is time we just vote against everyone who feels their tenure gives them power over the people they are supposed to serve. That action will send a message through the halls of the Capitol and send a shiver of fear to those bombastic individuals who fill their pockets while they only fill their chair (without providing discernible benefit to their constituents) in the hall. a bird's eye view albatross (with frost on his wings)

NKLR It's just too bad that "the people" are too damn lazy to get off their asses and vote.  It is sad to know that a mere 34% of all registered voters in the United States felt strongly enough to get to the polls last November.  34% freaking' percent.  We are in a sorry state.........and Kaleefurneyeeah is the sorriest!  Harvey Milk Day???? Boxer???????  Pelosi???????????  NKLR Buddy

Yeah it is really a shame that people here don't vote (majority) but most pay their ungodly local, state and federal taxes. Russia on the other hand (at least what I read a few years ago) turn out like crazy to vote .....but don't pay their taxes. Italians...... they don't like paying taxes either. Americans pay and pay and pay....unless they are government officials......or are considered poor. That may happen to all of us the way things are going. Criswell

Maybe instead of everyone voting, maybe we just need United States Citizens (and check id's) that are land owners and pay taxes, and those serving in our military(if you serve you should be able to help pick those sending you to war).  If someone does not make enough to pay taxes, I have problems with them telling me how much of my money they are going to spend.  I gave more money to charity last year than the Obama's, so do not tell me I am greedy.  I give where there are true needs, I do not give handouts......  Now my favorite oil...........
