carburetor question

Howdy, It will be much easier if the rubber is warm? It was a bit of a struggle, but I have mine out a few times. Good luck, A5 Jim I have a 2006 KLR650 that has been sitting for 1 year. I have tried to remove the carburetor, but there is no room at all in the rear boot allowing you to pull it out. According to the Clymers manual you can push the carburetor back in order to pull it out (1987-2003 KLR's). Does anyone have a newer manual with a different procedure? Any advise regarding the removal of the carburetor will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Red _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live: Friends get your Flickr, Yelp, and Digg updates when they e-mail you. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9691817

My late brother-in-law left my sister a beautiful 1966 R60/2 with a Duna sidecar. She needs to sell it and asked me to help. I know some of you KLRistas are in the airhead world and may be interested/know of a good place to post. I will have more info in a few days. He was an avid vintage bike/car nut and did everything "right", so don't expect a piece of junk, or to get a killer deal from an unknowing widow. I haven't seen it in a few years but I know it is almost perfect. It is located in the SF bay area and I will be there over Christmas to visit the family (AND the bike!). If she can't get pictures to me by then, then I will get some while there. Roger
