I have a seven year old used but servicable Aerostitch Darien Jacket with caveats. It will weep some water and I have patched areas that became worn from the Bohem back protector that was in it for most of these years, it rubbed thru the goretex. The jacket is a large, now equivilent to a 42 or 44 size. It has the shoulder and elbow crash pads with the plactic cups on the outside. It is very supple (broken in) which makes me hate the process of softening up the newly arrived replacement It is likely best for someone that will ride in mostly dry warmish climes. It is grey. It has been to Prudhoe Bay, Inuvik and circumnavigated the Gulf of St. Lawrence among other ventures. and It is $15, plus you pay the UPS ground shipping from Atlanta, GA. zip is 30305 if you want to calculate it. Great oportunity for someone. As long as it isn't one of those formerly-red weathered to pink ones ;^)

Don, If you still have it, I would love to give it a new home. I could put it to some good use. I don't know about living up to it's past adventures, but it will definitely get to ride almost daily. Let me know how you want the payment (paypal, money order, cash, etc.). Scott

nklr making a motorcycle statement

My commute is just seven miles each way. I am looking for a Ninja with a bad engine and/or transmission to make it into one of these: http://www.megawattmotorworks.com/display.asp?dismode=article http://www.megawattmotorworks.com/display.asp?dismode=article&artid=188> &artid=188 . I'd really rather convert a blown engine and/or transmission KLR but I have yet to find one. I would have to do a lot more engineering to convert the KLR. I think that the El Ninja it would be just the right comeuppance for the holier than thou Green crowd where I work. Two years ago you could look though our parking garage and see dozens of Porsche Boxsters. Now you see more Toyota Prius cars than Porsche Boxsters. Perhaps Toyota should have named their hybrid the Pious rather than the Prius J From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Richard Decker Sent: Thursday, October 22, 2009 3:23 PM To: albatrossklr Cc: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] NKLR Making a motorcycle statement Gotta love capitalism(which I'm a firm believer in). They see the hippys around Ashland, Oregon and see a market for this kinda thing. Even if their world view is a bit skewed by living in Oregon (where I'm at by the way). They claim that they are doing this for the environment... yeah.. .no. PUBLICITY STUNT TO SELL THEM! :) They need them with their price tag. ($12,000) Sold by Best Buy and serviced by Geek Squad... I'm leary. Best Buy is selling Segway's now... I think the price was $6000!! The "yes we can" on the "tank" really puts me off... Interesting fact about the company that made the bike (Brammo). Last gasoline powered vehicle they produced... 3MPG. It was a V-12. On Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 12:00 PM, albatrossklr >wrote:
