I have a seven year old used but servicable Aerostitch Darien Jacket with caveats. It will weep some water and I have patched areas that became worn from the Bohem back protector that was in it for most of these years, it rubbed thru the goretex. The jacket is a large, now equivilent to a 42 or 44 size. It has the shoulder and elbow crash pads with the plactic cups on the outside. It is very supple (broken in) which makes me hate the process of softening up the newly arrived replacement It is likely best for someone that will ride in mostly dry warmish climes. It is grey. It has been to Prudhoe Bay, Inuvik and circumnavigated the Gulf of St. Lawrence among other ventures. and It is $15, plus you pay the UPS ground shipping from Atlanta, GA. zip is 30305 if you want to calculate it. My commute is just seven miles each way. I'd really rather convert a blown engine and/or transmission KLR but I have yet to find one. I would have to do a lot more engineering to convert the KLR. I think that the El Ninja it would be just the right comeuppance for the holier than thou Green crowd where I work. Two years ago you could look though our parking garage and see dozens of Porsche Boxsters. Now you see more Toyota Prius cars than Porsche Boxsters.
