<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Ron, First thought I had was "WHY"? : ) I'm using Suzuki DR650 pegs and springs with the KLR pins. Cost is probably less than $40 now and it was about $30 when I did it in 2004. The DR pegs aren't as sharp as some pegs so the bottoms of my boots don't get torn up but I still get a good grip with them. If you want the Suzuki part numbers I used they are: 2 ea Spring 09448-15008 1 ea Right peg 43550-44B10-019 1 ea Left peg 43560-44B10-019 I put a Dual-Star shifter on the bike in 2004 too. I've thought a few times about taking it off and putting the stock shifter back on. And just welding about 1/3 of a large flat washer on the back of the shifter to help protect the case. I like the idea of the shifter bending instead of the shift rod which goes into the engine. I can pretty easily bend a shifter so it works. Bending a shift rod that goes into the engine is a bit tougher and probably more expensive too. If you are concerned about the stock shifter breaking at the weld you could have it rewelded pretty easily. I think the 2008 and later shifters are a little different design from the earlier ones and maybe that would be something to consider. front fender needed
Anyone know where I can get a new or good condition used front fender
for an '06 ? I have tried multiple online sources and they range in
price from $54.00 - $70.00 which is fine but when the checkout comes
up shipping is always over $125.00 !!!!!! WTF ????
Has anyone else had this experience ? I can't believe shipping on a
fender is this much. Anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced
fender with reasonable shipping ?
Appreciate any help.
Sean
