what does a klr motor weigh?

Either you're going to buy it new or used. If new, I would assume it could be shipped to your location by the dealer of your choice. If you want to hand-carry it home from the dealer, they would be the best ones to ask about the shipping weight because they'll have to pay for it to their location. I would also think that you'll have to have a 'representative' that physically makes all the arrangements and pays for the engine at the dealer's location then transfers the engine to you. If I was a dealer, I'd be more inclined to work through the logistics with a local person who eventually wants to ship the engine to Panama than dealing directly with someone in Panama asking to ship directly there.
If used, and you already know the source, they should be able to tell you the weight. A possible other method is to look at eBay, if one is for sale, ask the seller about the shipping weight.

Since I live in Panama, shipping is an issue. If I buy in the US when I'm there I can possibly check it as baggage, but I need to know what a complete motor assembly weighs to figure out if this is an option. > > Anyone know (or have one out of a bike that they could weigh)? > > Thanks >
